    Job Title: Asphalt Sales Manager

    Reports to

    Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Department

    Sales & Marketing (Works closely with Finance, Production, Logistics, and Quality Control) Job Purpose

    The Asphalt Sales Manager is responsible for driving asphalt sales by identifying project opportunities, developing client relationships, securing orders, and ensuring timely collections. The role focuses on

    revenue generation, customer satisfaction, and adherence to the company’s credit and pricing policies, while coordinating internally to ensure smooth delivery of asphalt products.

     

     

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Sales & Business Development
      • Identify and pursue asphalt sales opportunities from upcoming and ongoing construction projects (public and private).
      • Conduct market intelligence by engaging material departments, contractors, consultants, and project managers.
      • Meet potential and existing clients to promote the company’s asphalt products and
      • Prepare and follow up on quotations in line with approved pricing
      • Negotiate sales terms within the limits approved by
      • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets (volume and revenue).
    2. Client Relationship Management
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, and government agencies.
      • Act as the main point of contact for clients on all asphalt-related
      • Follow up on client feedback and handle complaints in coordination with production and quality
      • Conduct regular client satisfaction checks and report issues to

     

     

     

    1. Credit Control & Collections (Preliminary Role)
      • Initiate preliminary credit application processes by collecting required client
      • Ensure clients understand the company’s credit terms and payment conditions
      • Liaise with the Finance Department and CEO for credit approvals
      • Follow up on collections for assigned clients and ensure payments are made within agreed
      • Report overdue accounts and assist in recovery discussions as

     

     

     

     

    1. Sales Reporting & Performance Monitoring
      • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports (tonnage sold, revenue, collections).
      • Maintain an updated sales pipeline and forecast future
      • Provide management with market feedback, competitor activity, and pricing
    2. Internal Coordination
      • Coordinate with the Production Department on anticipated demand and delivery schedules (without direct control of production).
      • Liaise with Logistics to align client delivery requirements with company
      • Work with the Quality Control / Material Testing Department to address client technical queries related to asphalt specifications.

     

     

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

     

     

    • Asphalt tonnage sold per
    • Revenue
    • Collection efficiency and debtor days for assigned
    • Number of new clients/projects
    • Client satisfaction and repeat

     

     

    Qualifications & Experience


    • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in asphalt, construction materials, or infrastructure-related
    • Strong understanding of road construction projects and asphalt
    • Experience working with contractors and government projects is an added advantage Skills & Competencies
