Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a faith-based health solutions provider founded by an ecumenical partnership of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK). The Organization’s core mandate is being a reliable provider for quality and affordable Health Products and Technologies, Quality Assurance and Health Systems Strengthening Services. MEDS was established in 1986 and serves clients spread throughout Kenya, other regions in Africa and beyond.
This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for accurately picking and packing client orders, ensuring that correct items, quantities, batches, and expiry dates are picked and packed for dispatch.
Job Responsibilities
i. Pick orders from designated aisles using barcode scanners for packing
ii. Confirm and consolidate all picked order items using an order picking list for packing
iii. Pack orders for dispatch and client satisfaction
iv. Record all transferred errors and discrepancies attributable to other sections in reporting logs for accurate tracking.
v. Maintain a clean and well-organized working station, free of clutter and dust, to maintain Good Distribution Practices.
vi. Prevent stock losses, damages, and expiries from designated picking aisles to protect inventory integrity
Qualifications
i.Diploma in Business Administration or related course
ii.Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a busy pharmaceutical warehouse
iii.Technical competencies: strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy, physical fitness to lift and carry light objects; good communication and interpersonal skills
iv.Behavioral Competencies; Communication skills; interpersonal relations, self-driven and keen to detail
