. ICT Teacher (1 Position)
Location: Light International School Primary , Lavington (Nairobi)
Reports to: School Principal
Light International School Primary is seeking to recruit a qualified, passionate, and dependable professional to join our vibrant academic team as a Teacher of ICT. The ideal candidate will be an experienced educator with a strong background in the Cambridge curriculum and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum Delivery
- Prepare comprehensive schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Plan and deliver interactive, age-appropriate ICT lessons that build students’ digital literacy and problem-solving skills.
- Integrate current curriculum standards and emerging educational trends into classroom instruction.
- Integrate current curriculum standards, emerging technologies, and innovative teaching methods into classroom practice.
- Adapt instructional strategies to support inclusive learning and address individual learning needs.
- Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring
- Apply both formative and summative assessment techniques to monitor student progress and inform instructional practices.
- Mark and provide timely, constructive feedback on students’ work.
- Set, administer, and analyze internal examinations in alignment with curriculum standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with a specialization in ICT/Computer Studies and another teachable subject.
- A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience within the Cambridge curriculum.
- Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and compliant with the TSC Code of Conduct and Ethics.
- Demonstrated ability to teach ICT using interactive tools, coding basics, and digital applications.
- Strong proficiency in the use of ICT tools for both teaching and learning.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of ICT tools for teaching and learning.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for academic excellence.
