Hope Matters International, in collaboration with the Henry Jackson Foundation, implements a comprehensive HIV Prevention and treatment project targeting 6,000 key population individuals in Bomet County. As the Project Coordinator, your role will involve overseeing the provision of an extensive set of prevention interventions and clinical services in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines. These interventions will cover behavioral, biomedical, and structural interventions. The project encompasses three main components: Care and Treatment, HIV testing and counseling services, and HIV prevention among key populations.
As the project coordinator, you will be pivotal in coordinating and supervising interventions targeting priority and Key Populations. Your work is not just crucial; it’s indispensable, directly impacting the teams responsible for HIV Testing Services (HTS), HIV Prevention program- ming, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) support, and Care and Treatment. You will be key in establishing connections and partnerships with county stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health (MoH), partner organizations, and other government agencies. You are a vital point of contact between the community and the program team. Your efforts will be instrumental in our organization's mission, transforming communities, particularly the marginalized and vulnerable populations we serve. Bachelor's degree in social sciences, project management, business administration/Management or any health management related degree from a recognized institution
Two years of experience in a similar position focusing on the Key Population (KP) program, including two years of work experience in HIV prevention and treatment with a speci?c emphasis on KP programming.
Training in key populations, peer education, Behaviour change communication (BCC), or HIV & AIDS is an added advantage.
A Diploma in Project Management from a nationally recognized learning institution will be an added advantage.
